Training Events Priority

Every season in Start Your Soccer Career offers multiple training events with different stat payouts, injury risk, and morale side effects. Choosing wrong costs a week; rerolling wrong costs Rolls. This tier list ranks event types so you can instantly recognize high-ROI options on the training screen.

Pair this list with Training & Rolls guide for reroll timing and Best Traits for permanent modifiers.

S tier events

Event typeReward profile
Elite camp invite+multi-stat, low injury, morale boost
Private coachingFocused spike to weakest core stat
Champion’s preparationTrophy-season buff stacking

Never skip S tier unless injury risk is at critical and you lack iron body traits.

A tier events

Event typeReward profile
Squad intensiveSolid multi-stat, moderate fatigue
Technical drill weekStrong skill stat, minor morale
Sports science blockRecovery + small OVR

Default pick when no S tier appears.

B tier events

Event typeReward profile
Media training dayMorale-heavy, low OVR
Friendly showcaseNarrative flags, average stats
Generic gym blockFlat +1 packages

Pick during morale recovery — see Media guide.

C tier events

Flavor events with minimal stat impact. Only choose if out of Rolls and calendar forces a pick.

D tier events

High injury risk with weak payout or controversy triggers. Reroll if possible.

Event labels vs archetypes

The game reuses archetype families with different display names per club or patch. Learn the reward profile, not the exact label:

  • Any event promising multi-stat + morale without injury warning → usually A or S
  • Showcase or media day wording → usually B with low OVR
  • Extreme or unsanctioned wording → often D with controversy risk

When unsure, compare payout icons on screen against the tier tables above before spending a Roll.

Weekly planning template

At season start, sketch a four-week plan:

WeekGoalRoll policy
1Multi-stat S/A pickReroll once if B-tier only
2Weak-stat coachingSave Rolls unless D-tier
3Morale recovery if neededAccept B-tier media day
4Pre-cup composure or champion prepLuck boost if two reroll slots

Align weeks 3-4 with domestic cup brackets so composure gains land before penalty shootouts.

Club tier and event quality

Higher-reputation clubs spawn better event pools after transfers. Staying too long at low-tier leagues past 75 OVR caps weekly options at B/C tiers even with perfect play. Move to starter roles in top leagues before overall growth flatlines.

Injury risk management

S-tier events carry low but non-zero injury chance. If morale is already low or form is red:

  • Pick sports science or recovery-leaning A-tier instead of elite camp
  • Avoid D-tier extreme blocks entirely
  • Reroll only when iron body or similar trait is active

Two injury weeks in one season can cost more overall than skipping one S-tier pick.

Endgame filtering (93+ OVR)

Above 93 overall, treat training like surgery:

  • Private coaching and weak-stat focus only
  • Skip any event without explicit OVR payout text
  • Pair every luck boost with a pre-identified double-reroll week

See Reach 100 Overall for season-band targets.
